Welcome

The Seaside (NJ) Drifters proudly stand as a vital part of a national sisterhood composed of dynamic women dedicated to charitable, civic, educational, and social service within communities across the United States. Our chapter is deeply rooted in the legacy of The National Drifters, Incorporated, which was established in 1954 as a network of women united by their commitment to friendship and meaningful community impact.

Our Mission and Focus

Chartered in August 2021, the Seaside (NJ) Drifters have remained steadfast in our efforts to strengthen families, uplift children, and support seniors through direct service and purposeful partnerships. Guided by the national theme, our work aims to reinforce family bonds as a foundation for building better communities. We place special emphasis on voter education, student support, and initiatives that enhance community wellness.

Signature Programs and Community Service

Since our inception, our chapter has launched and supported a variety of impactful programs. These include high school voter education and registration drives, informative social media campaigns centered on voter education, and “A Conversation on Voting and Civic Engagement” featuring New Jersey’s 34th Secretary of State, Tahesha Way, Esq. We have also organized private, family-centered movie nights, provided winter coats for lower elementary students, extended support to Ronald McDonald House, assembled wellness kits for teachers, and supplied clothing and toiletries to men in need.

Our Place in the National Organization

As one of thirty-eight chapters nationwide, the Seaside (NJ) Drifters are part of a network of over seven hundred women who share a commitment to scholarship, care and support, and voter education. Together with our national organization, we champion programs that broaden educational opportunities, encourage active civic participation, and respond compassionately and purposefully to the needs of our local communities.
